POP3 (Post Office Protocol, Version 3) downloads your mail from the server to your computer and deletes it from the mail server.  Some mail clients allow you to optionally leave mail on the server as well.  We recommend that most users use POP3 to retrieve their e-mail, since it is easier to manage than IMAP and does not restrict the size of your inbox since mail is downloaded to your computer and deleted from our server.
